Working out from home can be done with minimal equipment. This guide it to help you get the basic equipment that doesn't take up a lot of space but will allow for a variety of exercises without breaking the bank.
It's best to get a yoga mat for stretching and exercises that will be done from the floor. The 1/2 thick mats may be a better option for exercises done from the knees.
Dumbbells
Dumbbells are your most versatile form of resistance training. Lower body and upper body exercises can be done and I would recommend having a lighter set such as 5lbs and a heavier set like 12lbs or 15lbs.
Stability balls are great for core and stability exercises and they can be a substitute for benches in exercises such as bench press, flys, and hip thrust.
Bands
Bands are great for stability and resistance exercises such as rows and chest press. Rubber minibands are good for upper body rehab exercises and fabric minibands are great for leg strengthening exercises such as clamshells.
Kettlebells
Kettlebells can be used for strengthening exercises as well as functional exercises such as kettlebell swings. They can be used for stability exercises such as overhead walks and suitcase carry's.
Recovery
Foam rolls are a great tool to help reduce soreness and help improve mobility in tight muscles. They can also be used for chest press and flys as well as other mobility drills.
Affordable Minimal equipment
This equipment would give you everything you need to do a full body program from home.
